As Delta Plastics [announced ](https://www.deltaplastics.com/news/announcements/delta-farm-press-features-touts-flowmeter-as-primary-irrigation-management-tool?hs_amp=true#)to growers this week that portable flowmeters are available on loan at several locations throughout the Delta free of charge, *Delta FarmPress* published an article touting flowmeters as a primary tool for irrigation water management. The DFP article describes how a flowmeter can help to properly plan and evaluate irrigation in order to achieve desired goals of water conservation, irrigation efficiency, and energy efficiency — reducing costs while maintaining or enhancing yield. Three steps to guide progress in the use of flowmeter information are included. [Read DFP article here](http://www.deltafarmpress.com/irrigation-systems/flowmeter-primary-tool-irrigation-water-management)
